Overview
The Rainforest Alliance has a legacy K-12 environmental educational curriculum that we have offered to educators for free for the past 20 years. Available at https://www.rainforest-alliance.org/environmental-curriculum/, it offers lesson plans and activities that teach children about the rainforest and how to conserve it. When it was developed, it met Common Core State Standards (CCSS) for English language arts and mathematics, and the Next Generation Science Standards.
We are seeing a consultant to update this curriculum to align with the Rainforest Alliance’s current scope of work and suggest a format and design that is most useful in today’s classrooms.
